No tenemos inversores pre-seed, ángel ó shark.

  1. If you love your job, you’ll never need to work again.
  2. Data consulting sucks for years. Is our job to fix it.
  3. You don’t stop working until the work is delivered. Either you finish or not.
  4. You work with people. Not machines, algorithms, or AI. You may use these tools, but in the end, you help humans to achieve their goals.
  5. Smoke Sellers are always around. In case of a discussion, argument with Data. So be always inform.
  6. Focus on creating a system that works, instead of chasing goals or unicorns. It is ok to dream, but life is hard work. Don’t waste your time or anybody else’s. To achieve your goals, you should put your attention in the system that will lead you there.
  7. You already live in a complex world. More people mean more problems, more needs and more of everything at the end. Try to keep things at the simplest level posible.
  8. Work in your habits. If you keep working on them every day, at the end will sum. Work is a habit too because it gives you a purpose.
  9. Your work will speak for you. Avoid looking at pictures of people showing off their titles and achievements. Stop comparing yourself to see who is better. If you create an awesome work, people will reach you again. This should be your primary concern. Everything else is Music.
  10. Is OK to steal ideas. An idea is just a spark until someone actually act and makes it a reality. So don’t feel like a bandit. If you came up with a better solution from someone else’s, so be it. Just remember to play by the rules of ethics and laws.
  11. You will serve humans or teams of them. You don´t serve companies. Significant difference. Teams come and go all the time. Remember that people moves between companies. Relationships matters.
  12. Always search for innovation, originality and independence. Freedom to do what you want, is priceless. Also is great to know the latest things, so keep learning.
  13. The all idea of being small is to be always reachable. When you are too big, the scope easily disappears, and people become numbers. So be available and don´t throw work to others.
  14. Your system will work with other systems. You should be clear all the time how to deliver and fix things. Don´t wait for someone to clean the mess and please avoid thinking like this famous quote: “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.” – By Lewis Carroll in Alice in Wonderland. You really need to know where the north is.
  15. Work in batches of time and commit. Focus on 24 weeks batches because is enough time to do something meaningful and short enough to see the entire period from start to finish. By the way, a year has 52 weeks, but they are more like 45 weeks if you subtract vacations and local holidays.
  16. It just doesn’t exist a Fast, Cheap and Awesome Service. In case you want to achieve this unlikely Triada, you need to understand really well all the costs involved before any commitment. So is ok to say NO. Just avoid lying to customers.
  17. People don’t read much in General. Not because they don’t know. The reason is simpler. Our brain works better with images. Reading is hard work and people don’t have time. So, to get their attention, use visuals and try always to catch the eye with a little incentive to incentive the habit of reading.
  18. Time is a vector that moves in just one direction. Forward. You can’t stop it and it is the scarcest resource we all have. Use it wisely.
  19. Respect everyone’s political, religion and activism expressions. But internally avoid having any debates in these matters and focus only on the limits of the projects.
  20. If a customer wants to work with someone else, let them, but ask why first. It is better to serve a few, instead of the many who want an awesome service, ultra-fast and impossibly cheaper. Instead, it is much better to deliver a good service, in the timeframe that both parties are comfortable with and that will cost the market value. This way, you will be more reliable.
  21. We hate double standard people and moments. This happens when i see you somewhere, i worked with you in the past and i avoid contacting you because i choose to forget you. Be advised, there are more of these people walking than you may think. Commit to your principles and you will be just fine. Don’t demoralize yourself. This is the world we all live, and you are here to be your best version, no matter what.
  22. Prefer experience mind-liked professionals instead of youth. Is True, they have energy, but their judgement is still under development in how the world works. It is an expensive proposition to have them on board projects with customers. It is better to add them for entry level assignments first.
  23. You don’t need a trillion users to validate your business or project idea. You just need enough mind-liked customers. If the project delivers value to these customers, they will refer, protect, and ask you for more.
  24. Forget about meetings inside work or offices. They are the principal form of waste in the limited time we all have. Instead, use check-ins. Working 40 hours a week is a lot of time, and you will be surprised how many things you can do when you start avoiding all kinds of meetings. Try it.
  25. In today’s environment, if you use too much software for work, clearly you are doomed. You’ll be surprised how many of them exist for no reason at all. The less software you use, the more things get done. By the way, before 1995 there was no Internet, no e-mail and no smartphones available to mainstream, so imagine for a moment how people actually work in those days. Currently it is the opposite. We’re surrounded by them, and you should adapt constantly. If you want to check your socials or other apps, go ahead, if you consider it a significant use of your time.
